Need to reduce wheel hop and improve traction? The Steeda adjustable upper 3rd link for S197 Mustangs gives you the ability to set your pinion angle and eliminate the torque deflection associated with the factory piece. This upper 3rd link uses our track proven three piece bushing package on the axle end to help reduce axle wind up, wheel hop, and allow proper articulation without deflection for improved handling and cornering stability.

Steeda's three piece bushing package will not increase NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) keeping the factory's quiet, smooth operation unlike competitor's pieces. Direct replacement for the factory original bolting into the original factory location. Our 3rd link is a double adjustable design allowing you to make adjustments without removing the arm from the vehicle. Already own an original Steeda upper 3rd link and want to take it to the next level?

Purchase our competition upgrade kit.

This kit includes a competition proven chrome moly alloy rod end to eliminate all wheel hop and axle wind up. Also includes a heavy duty chassis mount made from stout 1/4" thick steel for twice the thickness of the original factory piece. It also gives you 2 mounting locations for increased adjustment to provide even better traction and handling. Some increase in NVH will result from this upgrade but it is minimal and still very streetable.

Stepped Spacer Details

This spacer is designed to fix the problem with the OEM upper link. At the attachment point for the upper link to the chassis mount Ford uses a 14mm bolt, but the opening in the mount is 16mm. This is not typically a problem with the OEM mount as it uses a soft hydra mount bushing to soften this. But once an aftermarket upper is installed with a urethane bushing can transmit this noise or clunk.

This space can be installed with all aftermarket upper that still use a 14mm bolt. The stepped spacer takes up the slop and eliminates all noise from the upper. Note, it does work with aftermarket chassis mounts with smaller then 16mm bolt holes.

Please Note: All Steeda Upper Third Links produced on or after February 2007 include the Stepped Spacers.
