When we set out to make our own heat exchanger for the GT500, we set out to achieve the absolute highest cooling capacity available. We have achieved just that with our 07-12 GT500 heat exchanger. Our triple pass design is the only one of its kind on the market, all others are single or double pass units. Many competitive units are advertised using outside dimensions that are passed off as actual cooling area dimensions, meaning a unit being shown with 2 inches of thickness outside but actually only has 1 1/4 inches for the actual core itself making it hard to make true comparisons.
Our true core thickness coming in at 1.7 inches is larger than any other dual fan heat exchanger on the market. Our triple pass design along with the largest true core thickness and powerful dual 800+ CFM fans allowed us to achieve 18% more heat rejection than the closest competitor, making this heat exchanger the superior choice for all uses including street use and in particular, road racing where long periods under constant boost generates constant heat that needs to be dissipated.
In addition, we went the extra mile and designed a true plug and play harness for the wiring of the fans requiring no wiring work. No cutting, splicing or soldering of any kind will be needed making it is truly plug and play. Our heat exchanger is an easy, direct bolt on replacement that is manufactured from high quality aluminum and fully TIG welded. It is also fully bushed for isolation from vibration which can cause premature failure of the unit.
